I like drawing these cats because they’re so whimsical and fun. My original idea was to draw cats wearing shoes but oil pastel is too thick, so now they’re just cats doing stuff. I sort of project onto these cats the feelings I have in my world, but I translate them into expressions that can be conveyed through eyes and energies. Creating a little world on these little canvases for these little cats is a fun way to make art and remind myself, it probably isn’t that serious.
